Spring 2010 WISA Game Rules
- Player Passes:
Player passes will be checked before each game. Remember, no pass, no play.
- Admin:
Each team will provide a team roster. Write ins are allowed if the team rep has the player pass.
Home Team is responsible to provide the game ball, as well as, to change jerseys if there is a conflict of colors.
- Online game report must be submitted within 48 hours of the game.
- If online game report is not submitted within 48 hours, the center referee's pay may be forfeited.
- Rosters/game cards do NOT need to be mailed into WISA. They are
for the referee's reference only.
- Uniforms:
Uniforms must consist of the same style/color jersey, same color shorts, and socks.
All jerseys must be numbered and no two jerseys may have the same number. All slide pants
must be the same color as the shorts.
- Slide Tackling:
Slide tackling is not allowed in the Makule Divisions (both over 30 and over 40). It is
an automatic yellow card.
- Game Length:
All games in all divisions consist of 45 minute halves with 5-10 minute halftime.
- Game Time:
Games must start on time! There is a 15 minute grace period. As long as a team has 7 players,
a game can be started. For the first game of the day, both teams must be ready and the nets up
by 15 minutes past game time. If not, the team not ready will forfeit. If both teams are not
ready, it’s a double forfeit. Referees, please enforce this!
- Club Linesmen:
Each team, whether they are home or visitor, are automatically required to provide a
linesperson for the game before theirs (if they play at 11:00 or 3:00) or after theirs (if they
play at 9:00 or 1:00). The Referee Assignor will email all team reps on Thursdays stating
which teams have to provide a club linesmen and which teams do not.
- Referees must check the weekly referee assignments schedule to see who their AR
and/or team linesperson is.
- If a team linesperson and/or assigned AR does not show up to the game, please note it
on the game card.
- Teams are not fulfilling their club linesmen duties will be fined.
- Substitutions:
Substitutions may be made only on own possession for: Throw-ins, Corner Kicks, and Injuries.
However, if the possessing team chooses to substitute a player, the other team may then also call
for a substitute. Any team may substitute on a Goal Kick or Kick-off.
- Issuing Red/Yellow Cards:
When a Referee issues a card (red or yellow) during a game, he/she notates the offense in the game
report. If a red card is issued, the player’s pass is removed and mailed to the WISA PO Box.
- Cancelled Games:
Check the webpage for Game Status to check if games for that day will be
cancelled. It is the Referee’s/AR’s responsibility to check if fields are closed. The Assignor will try
to notify referee's of field closures, however, it is the referee's responsibility to check the webpage
for game status.
- Payments:
Paychecks are cut once a month during the season.
- Checks will be mailed to current address that assignor has on file. If referee changes
address, the ref assignor must be notified.
- Checks must be cashed within ninety (90) days or will be void.
- Payments are made based on online game reports.
