Winter Makule 2012 WISA Rules


  • Teams:
    • Home Team is listed first on the game schedule and will wear WHITE.
    • Visiting Team is listed second on the game schedule and will wear DARK
    • NO GRAYs will be allowed.
    • Players not wearing the correct color will NOT be allowed to play.
  • Slide Tackling: Slide tackling is not allowed in the Makule Divisions (both over 30 and over 40). It is an automatic yellow card.
  • Game Reporting:
    • Game cards no longer are required to be mailed.
    • The center referee is responsible to submit the online game report within 48 hours of the conclusion of the game. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of pay .
    • If a club line is used. Please include address for payment for the club line in the comments box on the online game report.
  • Game Length: All games in all divisions consist of 45 minute halves with 5-10 minute halftime.
  • Game Time: Games must start on time! There is a 15 minute grace period. As long as a team has 7 players, a game can be started. For the first game of the day, both teams must be ready and the nets up by 15 minutes past game time. If not, the team not ready will forfeit. If both teams are not ready, it’s a double forfeit. Referees, please enforce this!
  • Substitutions: Substitutions may be made only on own possession for: Throw-ins, Corner Kicks, and Injuries. However, if the possessing team chooses to substitute a player, the other team may then also call for a substitute. Any team may substitute on a Goal Kick or Kick-off.
  • Issuing Red/Yellow Cards: When a Referee issues a card (red or yellow) during a game, he/she notates the offense in the online game report. If a red card is issued, the player’s pass is removed and mailed to the WISA PO BOx (4224 Waialae Ave, #203, Honolulu, Hi 96816).
  • Cancelled Games: Check the webpage for Game Status to check if games for that day will be cancelled. It is the Referee’s/AR’s responsibility to check if fields are closed. The Assignor will try to notify referee's of field closures, however, it is the referee's responsibility to check the webpage for game status.
  • Payments: Paychecks are cut once a month during the season.
    • Checks will be mailed to current address that assignor has on file. If referee changes address, the ref assignor must be notified.
    • Checks must be cashed within ninety (90) days or will be void.
    • Payments are made based on referee schedules posted online so ensure your name is listed correctly on the reffing schedule to ensure proper payment.

Makule 0-50's League Rules


  • Player Passes: No Player Passes Necessary
  • No Off-sides
  • Scoring can only be allowed on your side of field (so one of your players must touch the ball on your side before it goes in)
  • Slide Tackling: Slide tackling is not allowed in the Makule Divisions (both over 30, over 40, and over 50).
  • Game Length: All games in all divisions consist of 45 minute halves with 5-10 minute halftime.
  • Fouls: All fouls are in-direct kicks except below exception
  • "direct kick" fouls in penalty box results in PK
